My Approach to Treating Patients

As a Physiatrist, I focus on restoring function. I care for patients with acute and chronic pain, and musculoskeletal problems like back and neck pain, tendonitis, pinched nerves and arthritis, tendonitis, any kind of back pain, and work- or sports-related injuries.

Musculoskeletal injuries and conditions can often interfere with patients’ everyday activities. Some problems can be very painful and even debilitating.

I believe in meeting patients’ individual needs through comprehensive evaluation and treatment designed to help them achieve an active, pain-free lifestyle. My ultimate job is to help you avoid surgery and restore your quality of life.

I place a strong emphasis on patient education in order to achieve a successful result. I will provide you with education materials, (e.g., articles, pamphlets, and video tapes) that give you added appreciation of your condition and treatment options.  I want to help people understand the nature of their pain as well as the realistic expectation about what can be done to manage the problem.

Because I take a team approach, extremely capable teams of professionals support me. Our staff members and the orthopedic physicians here at Muir Orthopaedic Specialists are always available to assist in making your visit proceed smoothly.

I look forward to meeting you and to participating in your recovery.
